The traditional office space is a series of stacked planes with furniture attached to it in a 2d plane, with restrictive movement with stairs. There is no free movement between the groups only clearly defined paths.

The next-gen workspace takes a party/inspiration from a rain forest canopy, where movement is not restrictive and the notion of clear planes of floors doesn’t exist. It yields a new way of interacting with people in the workspace.
